What a fun time we had at the Stephen Fite concert. The children were dressed for a funtastic time.
The field trip on Friday to the art museum taught us the emphasis of color, shape, line, and texture found in the world around us. They docent wanted all families to know of the spring fling on Sunday, March 18 from 2-4 pm at the museum. It is a family program and free!
Two field trips in one week was a little crazy for instruction. Poetry journals did NOT go home on Friday because we need more time on our poem before sending it home. Look for poetry journals on Thursday of this week.
The letter for this week is "Gg" as in goose in the grass. Word Wall Words are said, would, ran, in, could, just.
We are now working with subtraction. You want your child to understand that subtraction is starting with a group and taking away a defined amount to make it smaller. Addition is the opposite: taking two groups and putting them together to make a larger group.
Library day is Monday. AR tests can be taken on any day of the week.
Nancy's Italian Ice is Monday for $1.00.
Picture Day is Wednesday, March 14. Your child may dress out of uniform.
Thursday is the Walk for Diabetes.
Yearbooks on sale until March 23.
No school on Friday as a result of an unused weather day for the system.
Thanks to the dads who came to join us for donuts last week.
I will not be at school on Tuesday. I'm being a mom and celebrating Sweet Little Meg's fifth birthday. I secured a sub months ago so I know the children will have a fantastic day without me.
Contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
